Speaking assessment - Reasons people travel

Language is a tool for communication. Students expressed their ideas, and to know others’ ideas as well during a speaking assessment of reasons people travel. They made a collage of their leisure travel & VFR’s ( Visiting friends & relatives) travel & then gave an oral presentation on it.

Guest lecture - Devanshu Walia

As IB believes in involving community therefore,  Devanshu Walia of AS level has been invited to the class to deliver a lecture on “ Reasons people travel”. It was an interactive session. Children participated curiously & enthusiastically. 

Sorting of transport

Students brainstorm various means of transport , segregate the pictures but they don't know the captions for the same. They discussed  with their friends & found the caption like ground transport, flying transport & water transport. Later on found the appropriate captions like Land, Air & Water transport.

Poster making

The children expressed their  views & thoughts about the central idea of the unit-4 i.e. "All living things go through a process of change and depend on one another in order to survive" through a poster. Students have shown the form, function, connection and growth of a living thing of their choice through a poster. 

Speaking-Food chain

To understand the connection between living things students have given an oral presentation in the class based upon their project made by them on food chain. This also helped them in enhancing their communication skills.
